Buffalo's game against the Edmonton Rush, originally scheduled for Saturday January 31, 2009 has been rescheduled for Thursday January 29, 2009 at 9 p.m.
This may not seem significant but it may be an interesting development to start the season off. The reason being the game before the Rush game is a Saturday night game in Minnesota. Changing the start time of the Rush game from Saturday to Thursday means that after flying back from Minnesota on Sunday, the Bandits have to turn around and fly out to Edmonton on short rest for a Thursday game. The Rush are going to be a more physical team than we have seen in prior years with the addition of Bob Hamley.
