Wings Beat Sabres in Final Preseason Game

The Wings beat the Sabres in the final tune up game before the regular season, 3-0. With this being the final game of the preseason, this was a tune up game for the regular season offense and the special teams units. The Sabres showed no hope in the special teams department, going 0-10 on power plays which amounted to 17 minutes of the total game. Johan Franzen scored two for the Wings and Ville Leino got the third.

Ryan Miller played the whole game facing 25 shots.

The regular season starts Friday the 10th. We will have a preview of the season all this week leading up to the big game.

Also for those following with the CBC Anthem contest, I have changed that post to reflect all of the submissions and the fact that CBC has changed the videos of all the themes to correspond with their opening. So check that post out as well here.
